South Korean authorities request an arrest warrant against the president of Hybe, the company behind BTS, for alleged fraud against investors.
The South Korean Police are requesting an arrest warrant against Bang Si-hyuk, president of the company Hybe, accused of managing the band BTS, for allegedly deceiving investors before the company’s IPO in 2019, according to reports from the Yonhap agency.
According to investigations, the manager would have obtained profits close to 200 billion won after hiding key information from investors. Authorities indicate that Bang has been interrogated on several occasions and is prohibited from leaving the country, while the proceedings continue.
