At least three people died and six were injured after Russian shelling of the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, reports Ukrainian justice.
The governor of the Donetsk region, Vadim Filashkin, announced on Telegram that the attack took place late in the afternoon. It was the second attack, after the Russians first attacked around noon. Several residential buildings and various infrastructure in Kramatorsk were hit during the shelling.
Russian forces also attacked the Ukrainian city of Pavlograd this morning, killing an eight-year-old girl. A 49-year-old woman was also injured in the attacks, and is hospitalized in a moderately serious condition, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said.
Local authorities said the attack caused a fire in two houses, one of which was completely destroyed. Hanzha stated that during the night Russian forces attacked several towns in the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones and artillery, damaging a post office, houses and a sports school.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Vladimir Putin could step up attacks as he “gets weak” politically and militarily, urging Ukrainians to heed airstrike warnings and use shelters.
