How Tajik startup Paydo reached 100 thousand downloads in six months

In a market where people are already accustomed to buying and selling online, for a new player to appear and quickly gain an audience is an almost impossible task. But that’s exactly what Paydo has done: the Tajik classifieds app has been downloaded more than 100,000 times in the last six months and is now one of the country’s fastest-growing services.

The main thing that distinguishes Paydo from conventional platforms is artificial intelligence, which writes the ad for you. Previously, in order to sell something, you had to come up with a title, write a competent description, and not forget important details. Now you just need to add a photo and a few words – and the AI will create the ad text itself, neatly and clearly. What took time and often scared people away now takes a few seconds.

The convenience doesn’t end there. You can place an unlimited number of ads on Paydo – without limits or hidden barriers, which is especially important for those who sell regularly. And the “Verified Seller” status helps sellers confirm their reputation and stand out, and buyers feel even more confident and make purchasing decisions faster.
But Paydo is more than a message board. The service is turning into a platform for business development and support for young entrepreneurs.

In the Food section, home cooks can offer their own dishes and turn their favorite hobby into a source of income – and Paydo helps them find their first customers. The “Tourism” section opens the way for local guides, guest houses and services, supporting the development of domestic tourism in Tajikistan. Essentially, Paydo connects small businesses directly with the buyer (B2C) – and gives a start to those who have an idea, but do not have the resources for their own website or store.

This benefit was the reason for organic growth: most users learned about Paydo from friends, and not from advertising. The application is downloaded throughout the country – in Dushanbe, Khujand, Khatlon and other regions.

“We wanted to prove that a strong technological product can be made here in Tajikistan, for Tajik people,” says Parviz Ikromov, CEO of Paydo.

The story of Paydo is a story that a Tajik startup is able to offer the market something newer, more convenient and more useful. And, judging by the pace, the question “are you already on Paydo?” very soon it will be heard more and more often.
