Prosecutors have accused three law enforcement officers of a drug trafficking conspiracy involving 400 kilos of cocaine.
Sergeant Alcott Forbes, Corporal Brendan Dean and Royal Bahamas Defense Force Marine Raemon Russell faced charges of conspiracy to import cocaine into The Bahamas, conspiracy to export cocaine from The Bahamas, and conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to supply when they appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.
The offenses allegedly took place between November 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022.
The accused pleaded not guilty and their bail was set at $50,000 each, and the matter was adjourned to October 20 for trial.
Jerone Roberts and appeared along with Dr. K. Melvin Munroe for the accused.
Inspector Deon Barr was the prosecutor.
