From high energy performances and retro poolside vibes to late-night dance parties and a show-stopping live concert from one of music’s most legendary voices, the three-day celebration will bring the spirit of the 80s to life in unforgettable fashion at Atlantis Paradise Island.
The legendary artist, with one of the most influential voices in pop music history, whose iconic voice, influential punk glamor, and infectious live shows catapulted her to stardom, will perform her biggest hits during a one-night show as her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour comes to Atlantis, on Saturday, June 20.
High-energy, hit-filled performance that brings Lauper’s signature charisma, theatrical flair, and enduring anthems, Atlantis officials said will be the order of the day.
The three-days 80s vibes weekend kicks off with the 80Z All-Stars Tribute Band in Bar Sol with a live tribute to the biggest hits of the 80s. The band is expected to deliver an electrifying performance packed with chart-topping anthems, sing-along favorites and pure throwback energy, on Thursday, June 19, at 9 p.m.
If you decide to check into the hotel to take in the experience, you get to soak up the 80s Pool Party at The Coral Pool and make waves with classic 80s hits and throwback style at the splash-filled pool party. Grab your brightest swimwear to soak up the fun as the DJ-spun favorites turn The Coral Pool into the ultimate retro hangout on Friday, June 19 at 1 p.m.
Later that evening, it’s all about the 80s Dance Party in Aura Nightclub at 10 p.m. It’s there that you get to step into the ultimate 80s throwback where iconic dance tracks and nostalgic favorites transform the space into an all-out 80s dance floor – complete with bold moves, vibrant vibes, and nonstop beats that rule the night.
Lauper will close out the weekend in iconic style in the Imperial Ballroom with an unforgettable night of legendary hits and pure 80s magic. Experience her iconic music and energy live in the ultimate finale to what is expected to be an extraordinary weekend.
Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell tour – her 16th concert tour – is named after her 1983 debut single, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”. It began on October 18, 2025 in Montreal, Canada. It’s her first world tour since the Detour Tour (2016) and her first all-arena tour since the True Colors World Tour (1986).
The tour coincides with her documentary “Let The Canary Sing” – a film on her remarkable life and career, which premiered at Tribeca Festival in 2023.
Bahamians will get the opportunity to witness live, an iconic artist who won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist with her first album, “She’s So Unusual”, and was the first woman in history to have four top-five singles from a debut album. Since then, she has released 10 additional studio albums, yielding timeless classics like “Time After Time” and “True Colors”, as well as the anthemic “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”.
The timeless longevity of her music continues to soundtrack hit television shows and films, including “Stranger Things”, “Reservation Dogs”, “The Goldbergs”, and “Young Sheldon”.
