The residential project “L’Address” on the former “Scholesch Eck” has been a concern for the city of Esch for years. After the property developer “GC Promotions” went bankrupt, the project recently came into focus again. The affair received additional attention through the public prosecutor’s investigation against the entrepreneur Kindy Fritsch. He owned “GC Promotions” until 2019 and then According to his own statements, he has withdrawn from the company.
For the city of Esch, the main focus is on the open costs and the completion of the building. After the municipal council passed an “authorization d’ester en justice” on March 13th, the municipality was awarded a reimbursement of around 164,000 euros by the court on June 4th of this year. The sum mainly concerns fees for the use of public space during construction work.
