The head of the state oil company clarified that, although the international trend is downward, the impact on local service stations does not occur automatically. This is due to the deadlines of the logistics chain since currently the institution continues receiving and consuming based on the high costs of the time of the war.
Why is the reduction not immediate?
Wilka explained that there is a complex logistical process. The product must travel from the areas from origin to Silver Riverto then be transported on barges to the Villa Elisa plant.
“As soon as we have a margin to be able to go down, we are going to do it. We already have loads that will begin to be quoted with this new, more competitive rate. Once that fuel enters our tanks and we do the analysis, we would be seeing if there is an interesting margin to transfer it immediately to the citizens,” Wilka explained.

The head of the state oil company stressed that the coming weeks will be important to monitor internal balances and check the behavior of the crude oil abroad.
“Let’s see how this second half of June closes. We want to be very cautious, first we must ensure that the company maintains sufficient margins to be healthy and, second, ensure that we do not reach the end of the month with a new rebound. If everything remains stable, by July we will have news,” he said in conversation with 1080 AM.
