    The situation in the media in Serbia has significantly worsened during the current political crisis this year, according to the new report of the Reuters Institute “Digital News Report” for 2026.

    When it comes to trust in the media, it is in constant decline, and this year’s report states that only 22 percent of citizens trust the media in Serbia, as opposed to 37 percent, which is the percentage at the global level. ANEM.

    According to the data of this survey, among the media, Serbian citizens trust N1 the most – as much as 52 percent, followed by Nova S with 47 percent, and the weekly Vreme with 43 percent.

    This year, Informer, which is not trusted by 64 percent of the respondents, took the first place among the media that the audience does not trust, followed by Pink with 63 percent, then Kurir and Happy with 57 percent of those who do not trust them.

    The audience in Serbia is mostly informed through social networks (64 percent), and through informative media portals (57 percent). 51 percent of respondents receive information on television, 19 percent on radio, and 16 percent on print media.

    When it comes to traditional media (television, radio and print), the research shows that the audience is most often informed on RTS and N1 televisions, with an identical percentage, followed by TV Nova, Blic and TV Pink.

    As for online media, portal N1 is in first place in terms of choices for information, followed by portals Blic, Telegraf.rs, Nova.rs and Danas.

    Looking at social networks, the most common source of information in Serbia is Facebook with 50 percent, YouTube with 41 percent, Instagram with 40 percent, while 24 percent of the audience is informed on TikTok, and 22 percent via Viber.
