The first stage of renovation projects in the capital has started. It provides detailed information on the renovation process, relocation conditions, compensation procedure and other important issues to residents, initiative groups and project participants.
The working group headed by the mayor of Tashkent Shavkat Umrzakov with the activity of special staffs established in the renovation areas of Yashnabad, Mirabad and Sergeli districts met.
In particular, the activities of the headquarters located in the neighborhoods of Jarkurgan in Yashnabad district, A. Fitrat in Mirabad district and Khanabadtepa in Sergeli district were inspected.
It is reported that such headquarters will be established in each renovation area. They included representatives of hokimities, prosecutor’s office, internal affairs bodies, National Guard, tax authorities, Enforcement Bureau, communal services, cadastre, justice and construction organizations, as well as gas, electricity, water and heat supply specialists, banks and notary offices.
The main task of the headquarters is to communicate directly with the population, explain the mechanisms of renovation, answer citizens’ questions, study their suggestions and comments, and take into account the specific circumstances of each family.
In the meetings held with the residents, issues such as the procedure for the implementation of the renovation projects, the relocation process, the preparation of documents, compensation payments, implementation periods and legal guarantees are being discussed. Also, opinions are being exchanged on the most convenient and optimal options for the placement of citizens.
Shavkat Umurzokov emphasized that citizens’ interests should be given priority during the renovation process. According to him, one of the main tasks is to provide the population with new houses that are completed, ready for living and are equal in value.
This allows citizens to move into new apartments as soon as possible, without having to wait for years for new houses to be completed. It was also emphasized that during the resettlement process, special attention should be paid to ensure that the population lives in their district or in the urban environment they are used to.
