For three years in the village of Qaghtsrashen, Ararat Marz, Suzanna Barseghyan has been producing natural sweet and dry candies with a special recipe.
Suzanne named her company Suebar with the first syllables of her name and surname. Suzanne processes almost all the dry raw materials for candies made with a special recipe and for those who prefer healthy sweets in her own garden. Natural honey is used as a sweetener in candies made from dried apricots, apples, figs, plums and peaches.
Suzanne also helps fellow villagers. he buys the remaining fruits needed for natural drying from his native village of Qaghtsrashen.
Suebar is a participant of the Akba Federation and Impact Hub fellowship, thanks to which Suzanne participated in business development courses for a year and received advice from mentors in various fields.
“The idea of candies came from the moment my children decided to give up sugar. The only sweet in our house became our dry fruits. we tried to get candy with dry ingredients and it worked. This is how our business idea was created. In the preparation of candies, we use several coatings: almonds, coconut flakes, sesame, walnuts, orange powder, pistachios, pumpkin seeds and nana. There came a time in our business when we realized that we lacked knowledge. We were informed about the joint program of Akba Federation and Impact Hub, in which we participated and during a year, thanks to various mentors, we gained knowledge that we apply in our business. I should also mention that we are the winner of the fellowship, we have received a grant, which we will use for the development of our business,” said Suzanna Barseghyan, the founder of Suebar.
Suzanna Barseghyan’s future goal is to expand Suebar and establish her own brand store, which will feature fresh natural dried fruits and a wide variety of constantly renewed dried candies.
