Two men were captured during a home invasion carried out in the Jagua Arriba neighborhood, in the municipality of OlanchitoYoro, by agents of the Police Investigation Directorate (DPI) in coordination with the National Directorate of Prevention and Community Safety (DNPSC).
According to the authorities, one of the detainees, 24 years old, is being investigated for his alleged participation in the crime of drug trafficwhile the second captured, 20 years old, must answer for the alleged crime of possession illegal firearm.
During the police intervention, the agents found and seized a bag with suspected marijuana, a wrapper containing a substance with characteristics similar to crack and a revolver, which was taken into custody as part of the evidence in the case.
Several motorcycle parts and accessoriesas well as two black Pulsar brand motorcycles. These signs will be subjected to the corresponding investigations to verify their origin and determine if they are linked to reports of theft.
Preliminary investigations indicate that those captured would be related to an alleged organization dedicated to motorcycle theft. According to investigations, the intervened home would have been used to dismantle the vehicles and sell their spare parts illegally.
After their capture, both individuals were placed at the disposal of the Olanchito Local Prosecutor’s Office, along with the evidence collected, so that the Public Ministry can continue with the investigative process and the corresponding legal actions.
