Al-Shahid Al-Hafiz, June 14, 2026 (SPS) – Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Water and Environment received 12 water transport tanks, as a contribution and participation from the Algerian Water Company, Tindouf branch, to ensure continuous water distribution during the summer.
The tanks were received by the Minister of Water and Environment, Mr. Ahmed Bishr Ami Ammar, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic, Salha Al-Abd, and in the presence of the governors of the Republic and the regional directors of water.
The Minister of Water and Environment, after thanking Algerian Water (Tindouf branch) for the initiative, indicated that it would undoubtedly contribute to ensuring the continuity of water supply to citizens and overcoming the wave of thirst that camps often experience during the summer as a result of high temperatures, which causes water tanks to malfunction.
The Minister of Water and Environment added that the Sahrawi government and higher authorities always strive to ensure access to water for all citizens, despite the challenges. (SPA)
