MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed Olga Anufriyeva Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Belarus Segodnya publishing house, BelTA has learned.
Until now, Olga Anufriyeva held the position of Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Zvyazda publishing house.

“This newspaper is a publication of presidential level. First among the first. I do not want to diminish the role of Zvyazda, our Belarusian-language publication. I have always paid great attention to it. This newspaper has always been on my desk in the morning. I very much hope that you will handle this. Especially since chiefs of media outlets, our creative ministers recommend and do not object [this appointment],” the president noted. “Not only Zvyazda newspaper but, above all, the Belarus Segodnya newspaper is on my desk. I won’t say that I read every newspaper from cover to cover, because there is plenty to read. But I do review the topics covered.”
