Damascus, June 12 (SANA) Syrian companies participating in Buildex 2026 said they are preparing for a new phase of reconstruction and development, using the country’s largest construction exhibition to showcase products, attract partners and expand investment opportunities.
The 24th edition of Buildex, which opened this week in Damascus, brings together 710 companies and 1,400 brands from 51 countries.
Nidal Saada, director of a ventilation and air-conditioning company, said his firm has resumed operations in Syria after a hiatus since 2012 and is already contributing to rehabilitation and expansion work at Damascus International Airport.
“We see significant opportunities in the coming phase,” Saada said, adding that the exhibition provides a platform to identify market needs and establish new business partnerships.
Anas al-Saqqal, director of an elevator company, said his firm recently became an authorized distributor for several Turkish manufacturers, a move he said would enhance the quality of its products and services.
He said Buildex offers companies an opportunity to connect with potential clients and investors as Syria prepares for major development projects.
In the renewable energy sector, sales director Obeid al-Wais said his company is showcasing new technologies while seeking partnerships with international manufacturers interested in the Syrian market.
Buildex is one of the region’s largest construction exhibitions and serves as a platform for companies exploring opportunities in Syria’s construction, infrastructure and energy sectors.
