In Budapest, thanks to the efforts of the Embassy of Ukraine, the performance of Russian violinist Vadym Repin at the opening of the concert season of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Hungary was cancelled.

Details: As mentioned, instead of Repin, whose performance will be key at the opening of the season, a Hungarian violinist took part in the concert.

The statement also emphasizes that “Russian culture is a culture of genocide and war crimes, which should have no place on international platforms.”
“Ukrainian diplomacy will continue to consistently work to isolate representatives of the Russian cultural space in the global cultural industry,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry summarized.
Also recently, the Embassy of Ukraine in Luxembourg expressed concern about the matter scheduled performance of the Russian opera singer Anna Netrebko at the Luxembourg Philharmonic on June 15 and appealed to the relevant authorities in this regard.
We will remind, in January, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino theater in Florence canceled the performance of Russian artistswho openly support the Kremlin’s policy towards Ukraine.
And in November in the Netherlands the pianist’s concert was cancelledwho performed with pro-Putin musicians.
