A Budapest hotel has been named one of the world’s best: Hotel Moments Budapest ranked ninth on TripAdvisor’s 2026 global rankings, Turizmus.com reported.
A Hungarian hotel has made it onto the list of the world’s best hotels: Hotel Moments Budapest finished in ninth place on Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Hotels 2026 global ranking, and ranks as the third best hotel in Europe on the list.
The Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best award is based on guest reviews from the world’s largest travel review platform.
When compiling the rankings, the platform considers both the quality and quantity of reviews; in other words, the decision is not made by a professional jury, but rather by the experiences of travelers who have actually stayed at the accommodations in question.
The 99-room, four-star Hotel Moments Budapest is located on Andrássy Avenue, just a few minutes’ walk from the Hungarian State Opera House, St. Stephen’s Basilica, and several major downtown Budapest attractions.
According to the hotel’s own description, the building—situated in a World Heritage setting—features Art Deco-style, renovated interiors, and rooms in three categories.
The hotel building itself has a unique history.
One of the historic palaces on Andrássy Avenue was completed in 1882 on behalf of tobacco merchant Henrik Schlossberger, based on plans by Adolf Feszty. The building has served multiple functions over the past century and a half, writes Világgazdaság.
The Kimpton BEM Budapest by IHG (6th place) and the Aria Hotel Budapest by Library Hotel Collection (16th place) have also made it onto the list of Europe’s best.
