The staffing of Cedevita Olimpija continues to be in the hands of Chechu Muller
The basketball club Cedevita Olimpija has extended its cooperation with sports director Chechu Muler. The Spaniard will remain part of the Ljubljana team for at least the next two seasons.
“I am happy to remain a part of Cedevita Olimpija. We have built a stable and ambitious environment in Ljubljana in a short time, which enables the development of players and the team. We have new challenges ahead of us, brought by the new season, but I believe that together we can continue the successful story and make our fans happy,” the Spaniard told the club’s website.
He joined Cedevita Olimpija before the start of the 2024/25 season, and during the period of his management of the sports department, the team of members achieved visible successes both at the regional and international level. In the last two seasons, the Dragons reached the quarter-finals of the European Cup and the ABA League twice, and at the same time added all the domestic laurels to their showcases, the people of Ljubljana wrote.
They also highlighted the successes of teams in younger age categories. In the 2025/26 season, Cedevita Olimpija participated with the under-18 team in the final stage of the adidas NextGen Euroleague competition in Athens, while the under-19 team won third place in the final tournament of the eight best teams in the ABA league.
“With his knowledge, experience and vision, Chechu contributed significantly to the stabilization and progress of the club. Even before coming to Ljubljana, he was considered one of the greatest experts in his field in Europe, and he proves this day by day with his work, energy and approach,” added Cedevita Olimpija director Davor Užbinec.
