The historic march through the streets of Tirana continues with a kilometer-long line of citizens shouting slogans against the government and demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama even on the 14th day of the revolt.
After the speeches in front of the prime minister, the traditional march started from the boulevard to the City Hall, the Assembly and further “Rruga e Elbasani” and further “Ali Demi”.
The main slogans were “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison”, “Revolution”, “New Albania”, “Rama resigns” and “We decide here”.
As soon as the head of the march stopped in front of the legislative institution, the Assembly, powerful and unanimous cheers were heard from the revolted crowd, which broke into choruses:
“Parliament of crime! Parliament of crime!”.
For the 14th day in a row, thousands of citizens gathered again in their revolt against the government of Edi Rama.
They first gathered in “Skënderbej” square and then proceeded to the prime minister’s office, where for three hours they repeated the calls for the resignation of Edi Rama.
Citizens articulated a number of social and economic problems they face. Present next to them were also many immigrants who live in other countries.
After three hours of speeches in front of the prime minister, the citizens continued the march through the streets of the capital, as they have already done traditionally.
Even on this day of their revolt, there was no lack of strong messages through banners. “When dictatorship is a fact, revolution is a duty!”, “When the people speak, the revolution knocks”, “Without a change in policy, there is no future”, “When it enters the EU, will we have Albania left?”, were some of their messages.
Some protesters chose to protest in a particular way. They appeared with chains in their hands and masks with the faces of Edi Rama, Belinda Balluku and Sali Berisha, while holding placards with inscriptions:
“The defendant Edi Rama, traitor to the nation”, “The defendant, Belinda Balluku, traitor to the nation”, “The defendant Sali Berisha, traitor to the nation”.
