Under the new contract system, the length of the grace period after the end of the contract will depend not only on the type of contract, but also on the previous period of service and participation in combat operations.

Direct speech: “For different types of contracts, there will be separate deferral calculation mechanisms that take into account combat experience and years of service.
Guaranteed for everyone – half a year. Then it depends on which contract you signed and how long you served in the army.”
Details: Fedorov gave examples of calculating the duration of the postponement.
If a civilian signed an infantry-assault contract for 14 months, spent four months in combat during his service, for which he received a 12-month deferment, then together with the guaranteed deferment, its duration will be one and a half years.
If such a contract was signed by an active serviceman (in this case for 10 months), who has been in the army since 2021, then 6 months for the year of service from 2022 and one month for the year before 2022 are added.
Yes, two years and one month are added to 1.5 years. As a result, after the end of the contract, the soldier will receive 3 years and 7 months of deferment.
Direct speech: “Our task is to make the system of military service predictable and fair. Those who have defended the country longer should be given more time to recover after the end of their service. This also applies to military personnel who have been in the Defense Forces for the longest time and have spent the most time in combat. For them, we are starting a gradual release from service by the end of the year.”
