Zoltán Tarr is the minister responsible for social relations and culture on Facebook announced: Judit Grósz will be the one who, as ministerial commissioner, will coordinate the tasks surrounding the public media.
“Ensuring media freedom after the continuously expanding centralization of the past two decades is an extremely important step in the return to democracy and European values,” wrote Zoltán Tarr at the beginning of the post. According to him, this is especially true for public media. According to him, the weight of this requires that the ministerial commissioner handle the “necessary steps” around the public media.
Judit Grósz’s task will be to prepare the balanced operation of the public media. “A priority task will be to coordinate the operational vetting of the public media. In the course of its work, it will coordinate the process in which the temporary management will eliminate political propaganda, the financial and operational audit will begin, and the institutional consolidation will begin. Until an independent leader elected through a public tender takes over the management of the public media,” wrote Zoltán Tarr.
Grósz has more than 25 years of senior management experience, including in the field of media. For example, he was the deputy general manager responsible for digital areas at RTL, and he also worked at Microsoft Hungary, where he led a complex business model change, explained Minister Zoltán Tarr.
