Once again, Budapest has proven itself to be a stronghold of European film production. Based on the latest reports, one of the greatest action stars in film history, Arnold Schwarzenegger, arrived in the Hungarian capital in secret over the weekend, Magyar Nemzet reported.
An eye witness reported seeing the action star riding a bicycle near the Buda Castle Tunnel. He was reportedly accompanied by two well-built men on bicycles. The Budapest Reporter also wrote that fans spotted the former California governor at the airport, and he has already begun settling in Budapest.
According to the portal, the visit is tied to Amazon MGM Studios’ latest blockbuster.
As is customary with massive streaming films, there is a lot of secrecy surrounding the project, but based on industry sources, work on the action-thriller titled The Kellys began in May at studios in Hungary. The film promises to be a real treat for fans of the action genre, as the lead role will feature Liam Hemsworth (The Expendables, The Hunger Games), alongside Schwarzenegger. This is not the first time the two actors have worked together, thus chemistry is guaranteed, and the Budapest locations will provide the perfect backdrop for the film’s action scenes.
Although the synopsis has not been released yet, we already know that this movie coming to Prime Video will be a fast-paced, suspense-filled story featuring spectacular chases and intense showdowns.
Therefore, in the coming weeks, it may be worth watching for sightings of the cast in Budapest, because the Terminator and his team could be waiting around any corner.
