Priorities: The work of the 45th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Shelter Afrique Development Bank (ShafDB) began on Tuesday in Rabat, bringing together public decision-makers, investors, housing experts, development partners as well as private sector actors from Africa and elsewhere.
Placed under the theme “The future of cities: Financing inclusive, green and resilient urban development”, this three-day event constitutes a strategic platform for dialogue on the continent’s urban priorities, the mobilization of innovative financing and the strengthening of partnerships in favor of sustainable and inclusive cities.
The opening of this assembly, marked by speeches from the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ShafDB, Lionel Zinsou, and the Director General of the Institution, Thierno Habib Hann, was the opportunity to unveil the new identity of the bank.
By hosting this 45th edition, Morocco reaffirms its commitment to sustainable urban development, affordable housing, climate resilience and financial innovation in the service of African cities.
