    A name that remained at the center of the scene after the attack on the Court prosecutor

    Ferreira was publicly exposed in October 2025, days after the attack on the home of the Court prosecutor, Monica Ferrerowhich occurred during the early hours of September 28 of that year.

    After the attack – in which criminals entered through the back of the house, climbed to the roof, detonated an explosive and fired shots into the house – the then director of the Republican Guard defended the security operation deployed at the site.

    On that occasion, Ferreira stressed that Ferrero’s custody did not depend exclusively on the Republican Guard and recalled that the personal protection of the prosecutor was the responsibility of the National Police.

    The leader also revealed that in June 2025 the Republican Guard had requested a custody review of Ferrero, as part of the usual risk assessment procedures.

    His statements came amid questions about the security scheme in place for the Court prosecutor and placed Ferreira at the center of one of the episodes with the greatest public impact in terms of security during the last year.
