Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, witnessed the Qatar Foundation Schools 2026 honoring ceremony, which celebrated the achievements of approximately 401 male and female graduates, representing seven schools within the integrated educational system of the Qatar Foundation.
The ceremony, which was held at the Qatar National Convention Centre, was attended by Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Foundation, along with a number of dignitaries, faculty members, school principals, and parents of graduates.
Mrs. Abeer Al Khalifa, Head of Pre-University Education at Qatar Foundation, said that the students demonstrated that true learning is not only reflected in academic achievement, but also in the ability to be flexible, creative and persistent in times of uncertainty.
She added that the periods of challenges resulting from recent geopolitical events constituted a test for everyone, but at the same time they revealed the strength of this graduating class, their ability to adapt, and their exceptional potential.
Al Khalifa pointed out that as the education sector continues to develop, it becomes necessary for our youth to embrace innovation while at the same time preserving values, ethics and a commitment to making a positive and purposeful impact. She expressed her great admiration this year for the level of student projects and ideas, many of which demonstrated a real ability to address realistic challenges and contribute to building a better future.
She explained that with the progress in implementing the organization’s strategy, we view graduates as essential partners in shaping the features of the next stage, expressing the organization’s pride in their excellence, creativity, and ability to overcome challenges, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have in the coming years.
Maryam Ali Al-Khalaf, a graduate of Qatar Academy Doha, part of the Qatar Foundation, participated as the keynote speaker for this year’s ceremony.
Al-Khalaf said that true success is not limited to personal achievements, but rather is represented in the impact that a person leaves on the lives of those around him, and in his ability to contribute positively to his society.
Al-Khalaf recalled her educational journey at Qatar Academy – Doha, stressing that the school was not just an educational institution for her, but rather an integrated environment that contributed to shaping her personality and refining her academic and professional path, and gave her confidence and the ability to enter multiple fields with confidence and poise.
She praised the role played by Qatar Foundation and Education City in providing a pioneering educational model that places people at the heart of the educational process, and believes that true investment begins with education, calling on graduates to adhere to their passion, and to benefit from challenges as opportunities for growth and development and to make a positive impact in their communities.
Al-Khalaf pointed out that the knowledge acquired by the students is the tool with which they will build their future, which will enable them to make informed decisions and move confidently on their path.
The ceremony witnessed special moments as the graduates ascended to the podium to receive their diplomas, in addition to honoring the outstanding students from various Qatar Foundation schools in recognition of their academic excellence, their exceptional achievements and the commitment and excellence they demonstrated during their educational career.
It is worth noting that the Qatar Foundation Schools Honoring Ceremony 2026 was held to celebrate the achievements of students from Qatar Academy – Doha, Qatar Academy – Al Khor, Qatar Academy – Sidra, Qatar Academy for Science and Technology, Qatar Leaders Academy, Qatar Academy – Al Wakra, and Awsaj Academy.
Over the years, more than 15,000 students have graduated from Qatar Foundation schools, the Academic Bridge Program, and Awsaj Academy’s “Prime” program.
