Egypt.. Imprisonment of a Muslim festivals singer for 6 months – Saudi News

The Nozha Misdemeanor Court ruled to punish Egyptian festival singer Muslim with imprisonment for a period of six months with work, with the provision of temporarily suspending the implementation of the sentence in exchange for payment of a financial guarantee of 3,000 pounds, in the case brought against him by his ex-wife, the blogger Doha Abdo.

    Details of the judicial ruling

The court’s decision came after examining the case papers and listening to the defenses and documents they contained, and it concluded that the accusations against the accused were proven according to what was stated in the case file, which resulted in the issuance of the ruling against him.

    Based on the Penal Code

In its rationale, the court relied on the provisions of Article 341 of the Penal Code, which deals with crimes of breach of trust, and includes cases of seizure or disposal of money and movables delivered in trust in violation of their intended purpose.

A bail to temporarily suspend execution

The ruling included obligating the accused to pay a financial guarantee of 3,000 pounds to temporarily stop the implementation of the sentence, until the completion of the legal procedures available in the case, in accordance with what is regulated by the law.

The first comment from his ex-wife

For her part, Duha Abdo, Muslim’s ex-wife, commented on the ruling issued to imprison him, stressing that she succeeded in obtaining her son’s rights after a long period of legal procedures and demanding alimony.

She explained that the ruling came due to his refusal to pay alimony for his son, expressing her thanks to the concerned authorities for following up on the procedures for implementing the ruling, and stressing that insisting on demanding the right is the way to recover it.

The Court of Misdemeanors in Al-Nuzha sentenced the Egyptian festival singer Muslim to six months in prison with hard labor, with the possibility of a temporary suspension of the sentence in exchange for a financial bail of 3,000 Egyptian pounds, in the case filed against him by his ex-wife, blogger Doaa Abdo.

    Details of the Judicial Ruling

The court’s decision came after reviewing the case documents and listening to the defenses and evidence presented, where it concluded that the accusations against the defendant were substantiated according to what was stated in the case file, which resulted in the issuance of the ruling against him.

    Based on the Penal Code

The court relied in its reasoning on the provisions of Article 341 of the Penal Code, which addresses crimes of breach of trust, including cases of misappropriation or disposal of entrusted funds and properties contrary to their designated purpose.

    Bail for Temporary Suspension

The ruling included obligating the defendant to pay a financial bail of 3,000 Egyptian pounds to temporarily suspend the execution of the sentence until the legal procedures available in the case are completed, in accordance with the law.

    First Comment from His Ex-Wife

For her part, Doaa Abdo, Muslim’s ex-wife, commented on the ruling issued for his imprisonment, confirming that she succeeded in obtaining her son’s rights after a long period of legal procedures and demands for alimony.

She clarified that the ruling came due to his failure to pay his son’s alimony, expressing her gratitude to the concerned authorities for following up on the execution of the ruling, emphasizing that persistence in demanding one’s rights is the way to recover them.
