PARAMARIBO — While searching two vehicles at separate locations in Paramaribo, the Arrest Team (AT) of the Suriname Police Force (KPS) came across 82.86 kilograms of drugs on Tuesday, suspected to be cocaine. The five people who were in the two cars have been arrested, the KPS reported on its website on Wednesday (today).
In the interest of the investigation, the police seized the drugs and the two vehicles. The five suspects were then transferred to the Narcotics Brigade to be arraigned. After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, they were all taken into custody.
