Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed solidarity with Romania after the explosion of a naval drone in the port of Constanta.
“European Truth” reports about this TASR.
“I express solidarity with Romania in connection with the explosion of a naval drone in the Black Sea port of Constanta that happened on Friday,” Robert Fico said at a press conference in Montenegro, warning that such an incident could trigger World War III.
The prime minister also called for a dialogue with the Russian ruler Vladimir Putin.
Fico noted that he did not have enough information about the incident in Romania. “We have probably witnessed another accidental flight of a drone, whether intentional or unintentional,” he said, adding that no one would be charged, but it is very dangerous.
In his opinion, therefore, it is necessary to start a dialogue, and someone should start a conversation with Putin. “I don’t care if it is a delegation of European Union leaders, or the chancellor or president of a powerful country, but we have to start a conversation. Because if five or six more such incidents happen, we will suddenly find ourselves in a state of world war,” he said.
We will remind, on the morning of June 5, people were evacuated from the port of Constanta in Romania after the explosion of a marine drone there. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
The Romanian Ministry of Defense indicated that maritime drones of this type were used during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The Naval Forces of Ukraine later confirmed that it was a Ukrainian apparatus. In the statement, it was reported that during the execution of tasks in the Black Sea operational zone, one of the naval unmanned boats of the Navy was under the influence of the enemy’s electronic warfare equipment lost control and ended up near the coast of Romania.
