Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga reported on the work between Ukraine and Slovakia on the date and place of the next round of intergovernmental consultations.
He said this following the negotiations with his Slovak colleague Juraj Blanar in Vinnytsia on Friday, June 5, writes “Interfax-Ukraine”“European Truth” reports.
Sybiga said that during the meeting with his Slovak counterpart, they discussed in detail the implementation of the agreements between President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Prime Minister Robert Fico.
“We are actively working on further meetings and events,” he said.
Separately, the ministers paid attention to the development of bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
“Ukraine and Slovakia have an effective format of intergovernmental consultations, which allows for systematic promotion of joint projects and coordination of decisions. We are working on the date and place of the next round of such consultations,” Sybiga emphasized.
According to Sibiga, Blanar confirmed during the visit that “Slovakia is ready to support the opening of the first and other clusters of negotiations.”
In May, Zelensky announced that he had agreed with Fico in Yerevan about exchange of visits.
He also stated that the intergovernmental consultations of Ukraine and Slovakia can happen until the end of June in Kyiv or Bratislava.
