    The region witnessed a new military escalation at dawn today, after the US Central Command announced the implementation of precise strikes targeting military sites inside Iran, at a time when Gulf countries raised the level of security and military preparedness, with sirens sounding in Bahrain and Kuwaiti air defenses confronting hostile air targets.

    Washington: Targeting surveillance, communications, and air defense systems

    The US Central Command confirmed that its forces carried out attacks using precision-guided munitions against Iranian targets, which it said posed a direct threat to US forces and commercial shipping traffic.

    She explained that the strikes focused on military surveillance capabilities, communications and air defense systems in various areas inside Iran, as part of operations she described as defensive to protect American forces and interests.

    Bahrain sounds sirens

    On the other hand, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced the sounding of sirens, calling on citizens and residents to remain calm and go to the nearest safe location, in a precautionary measure that coincided with the rapid military developments in the region.

    Media outlets also reported that sirens were sounded again in a number of areas, amid intense security monitoring of the situation.

    Kuwait: Air defenses confront enemy targets

    The Kuwaiti army announced that its air defense systems dealt with hostile air targets in accordance with approved operational procedures, stressing the continued high readiness to confront any potential threats.

    Aerial interceptions over Jordan and Israel

    In a related development, media reports reported that Iranian missiles were intercepted in the airspace of the Jordanian capital, Amman, while interceptor missiles were seen launching in the eastern airspace of Israel.

    These developments come in light of the expanding military confrontation between the United States and Iran, and the accompanying defensive measures and security alert in a number of countries in the region.
