KAPIT (June 10): The completion of three ongoing infrastructure projects in Song Bazaar will not only improve public amenities but also enhance the town’s overall appearance, said Lidam Assan.
The Katibas assemblyman said the three projects are Dataran Buah Dabai, a jungle produce market, and slope protection and landscaping works along the waterfront.
“Upon completion, these three projects will bring significant benefits to the local community by improving public facilities and the living environment, and enhancing the overall appearance of Song town,” he said.
He said this during a visit to the project sites on Monday to inspect the progress of works.
Accompanying him were Kapit District Council chairman Andy Lawrence and community leader Penghulu Malang Biat.
Lidam also thanked the various agencies and departments involved in the planning and implementation of the projects, namely the Public Works Department, Kapit District Council, and Department of Irrigation and Drainage, saying their commitment has helped drive people-oriented development initiatives.
