“Juventus” reached the finals for the first time in the club’s history after defeating Vilnius “Ryta” and Klaipėda “Neptūna” in the playoff series of the LKL.
It didn’t take a day before the tickets for the only scheduled final match in Utena sold out.
“There are no more seats. We have added some standing, but the arena is not rubber – the tickets are the last,” reported the Aukštaitija club.
The LKL finals series will start in Kaunas on Sunday, June 7, and the teams will play in Utena on June 9.
Next week, on June 12, the series will return to Kaunas again.
If a fourth game were needed in the series, it would be played on June 14 in Utena, and the fifth game would take place on June 16 in Kaunas.
Utena’s multi-purpose sports arena officially accommodates about 2.5 thousand people. spectators, but already in the semi-finals there were much bigger crowds. The second meeting with Neptun was watched live by 2,988, and the fourth by 3,004 spectators.
