The presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori, of the Fuerza Popular party, maintains the lead in the scrutiny of the second electoral round held this Sunday in Peru, according to the preliminary results released by the National Office of Electoral Processes.

Fujimori leads Roberto Sánchez
The partial results reflect that Keiko Fujimori obtains 52.71% of the valid votes, equivalent to 5,296,463 votes.
Meanwhile, candidate Roberto Sánchez Palomino, representative of Together for Peru, registers 47.28% of the vote, with a total of 4,750,698 votes.
The difference between both candidates remains while the processing of the minutes from different regions of the country and the vote cast abroad continues.
More than half of the minutes are still pending
The ONPE reported that, in addition to the minutes already recorded, 0.865% remain pending sending to the Special Electoral Juries.
For this reason, the electoral authorities have reiterated that the results released so far are preliminary and that the counting will continue during the next few hours until the processing of all the records is completed.
