The final whistle had barely sounded when many Haitian supporters still remained in the stands of Nu Stadium. As if they were hoping for an extension to see the Grenadiers overcome the Peruvian team. They won 2-1 after being behind and suffering, for a good part of the match, constant pressure from the Haitians, both on the field and in the stands.
