But that’s why the British singer and actor, Dua Lipa and Calum Turner, organized a real wedding party in Palermo, Sicily, one year after they announced their engagement.
Photos from the party in picturesque Sicily show Dua Lipa wearing a Bottega Veneta dress made especially for her.
The dress was mermaid-style made of white ostrich feathers and featured a plunging back, the magazine reported Vog (Vogue).
She also had a feather bag and wore gold Bulgari jewelry, and her hair was down.
Lipa has been a fan of Bottega Veneta’s creations for years, from bags and boots to sets and see-through dresses.
The singer, originally from Kosovo, seemed happy on the first day of the party, dancing and posing for photojournalists.
Lipa and Turner came to one of the squares dancing, greeting guests and kissing in front of the cameras.
Turner wore a beige linen suit from the brand Jacquemus and a white shirt, as well as black branded sunglasses Jacques Marie Mage.
Among the many guests are DJ Mark Ronson and his wife, American actress Grace Gummer, Charli XCX, another British pop star who married in Sicily last September.
In addition to Elton John, guests include Donatella Versace and allegedly Kylie Minogue, Harry Styles, and Robbie Williams is also expected.
The Italian media pumped up the atmosphere for weeks, declaring the celebration the wedding of the year.
However, the mood in Palermo is somewhat divided.
While some residents are proud that Dua Lipa and Calum Turner chose their city to celebrate their wedding, others are angry about road closures, security cordons and various disruptions to daily life, the London Guardian reported.

Dua Lipa is 30 years old and one of the biggest pop stars in the world, and in 2024 she headlined a group of performers at the Glastonbury Festival.
Turner, a 36-year-old actor, rose to fame with his role in the film Fantastic beasts and it is believed that he could get the role of the next James Bond.
They got married in a municipality where previously many famous people got married.
One of them is Paul McCartney, who first married Linda Eastman there in 1969, and then married Nancy Shevell in 2011.
Ringo Starr, drummer of the Beatles, married his wife Barbara there in 1981, while Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas exchanged wedding rings in the same place in 1996.
Liam Gallagher, the lead singer of Oasis, was married there twice – in 1997 to Patsy Kensit and in 2008 to Nicole Appleton.
