The former mayor of Karposh, Stevco Jakimovski, through an announcement on social networks, warns that the building in which a big party is announced tonight is not safe and that last year, while he was the head of the municipality, a ban was imposed on the use of the building’s roof.
Then, says Jakimovski, the municipality also ordered that the stairs leading to the roof space be demolished.
“Today, that same roof is sold out for a party. Who allowed it? Who took responsibility? Who will be responsible if an accident happens?”, asks Jakimovski in a video he posted on social networks.
He also mentioned the tragedy at the “Pulse” disco in Kočani and said that after it everyone promised to learn lessons, but according to him, “some have forgotten the lessons and allow risky situations again”.
“People’s lives must not be less important than profit,” says Jakimovski, calling for greater responsibility and respect for safety standards.
He also accused that the owners of the building in which the event is held are “close to the ruling party VMRO-DPMNE”, alluding that the holding of the party is allowed because of that alleged closeness.
