    The Lithuanians fell behind only at the very beginning of the match (1:4), but soon took the initiative and steamed towards victory.

    Three players collected points in the ranks of the winners: G. Šulskė scored 8 points, G. Labuckienė, who hit all seven one-point shots, added 7 points, and K. Nacickaitė – Van Der Horst added 6 points. J. Miknaitė did not score points, but recovered 6 balls.

    For the Lithuanian national team, this victory brought not only a ticket to the round of 16, but also the second place in Group D, as our players scored more points (66) than the basketball players of France (60) and Canada (57), who had the same number of victories.

    In the first three games, Lithuanians defeated Canada (19:17), but lost to France (12:21) and Ukraine (14:16).

    A total of 20 teams are playing in the tournament, divided into four groups of five teams each.

    Taking the first place in group D, Ukraine (3-1) went directly to the quarter-finals, and together with the Lithuanian national team, France (2-2) also got a ticket to the round of 16. The tournament is over for Canada (2-2) and Japan (1-3).

    Mūsiškės will play in the round of 16 against the third-placed Czech Republic in Group A. This match will be played on Friday.

    The Lithuanian women’s triples team is participating in the world championships for the third time, but so far they have not won any World Championship medals. She took the highest place, fourth, in 2022 in Antwerp.
