    M. Sinkevičius intends to present three scenarios to his comrades at the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) council meeting on Saturday. Morning as far as we know, there is not even an option among them to remain the same composition of the ruling majority.

The most ambitious scenario is to undertake a complete overload, that is, to change not only the coalition, but also the prime minister.

    M. Sinkevičius has already informed his closest circle that he is determined to take full responsibility.

This decision was also influenced by the public campaign of questioning his authority carried out by influential social democrats in recent days. Speaker of the Seimas Juozas Olekas went to the public space with messages that the decision has already been made, the coalition will not change.

In the meantime, LSDP board members Orinta Leiputė and Indrė Kižienė came out with statements that practically the entire faction and party departments support work with “Aušriets”.

Such public resignations of the deputies themselves were a blow to M. Sinkevičius.

Although he doesn’t want to take on the position of prime minister himself, M. Sinkevičius most likely realized that if he stepped down, he would basically let go of the leadership in both the party and the coalition.

All the more so that in recent weeks he was urged not only to change the coalition, but also to take leadership in the chair of the head of the Government, not only by some of the “socdems”, but also by President Gitanas Nausėda.

Morning as you know, M. Sinkevičius already discussed these issues with I. Ruginiene herself a few days ago. The LSDP leader presented her with the situation, promising her a place either in one of the ministries or in the leadership of the Seimas.

It is for this reason that I. Ruginienė could not even answer the question on Thursday whether she will still remain as prime minister after Saturday.

On Friday evening, Mr. Sinkevičius will have to talk with the LSDP board, and already on Saturday – in the broader circles of the party’s presidium and council. Unofficially with Morning the councilors who spoke believe that the fellows will listen to their leader’s decision, otherwise it would no longer be clear who is leading the party.

According to sources, informal negotiations have already taken place with the Democrats themselves, who were promised three ministries – Energy, Environment and Agriculture. The Democrats project Lukas Savickas, Tomas Tomilinas and Kęstutis Mažeikas to them.

    M. Sinkevičius would very much like to replace the Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budris, who is protected by G. Nausėda. He is trying to nominate the leader of the Democrats Virginijas Sinkevičius for this position, but the MEP does not want to leave Brussels.

It cannot be ruled out that more changes are planned in the ministries, because along with I. Ruginiene, her entire Government will fall.
