Due to the complicated situation, the regional governor of Sliven, Mihail Kasherov, ordered the evacuation of the residents from the lowest part of the village.
There are currently no reports of serious flooding that could threaten the population or critical infrastructure.
However, authorities continue to monitor the situation as the river level remains high and continues to rise.
Earlier in the day, the Cherna River overflowed and flooded houses and road sections in the Ticha region after torrential rains. Teams of local authorities and services are monitoring the situation and are ready for additional actions if necessary.
