A routine review of security camera footage has uncovered the theft of alcoholic beverages valued at $36,000 from a warehouse in El Socorro Extension, San Juan.
According to police reports, a security manager at Samba Brewing Company reported the matter after receiving information and reviewing CCTV footage from the facility.
The footage allegedly showed two security officers employed by a private security company removing several boxes from inside the warehouse at approximately 8.30 a.m. on May 31.
Investigators were told the men carried the boxes to the western side of the compound.
About 20 minutes later, a white H100 van accompanied by a black Volkswagen Jetta entered the premises.
Police said the footage appeared to show the boxes being loaded onto the H100 van before both vehicles left the compound and drove off.
A subsequent stock check conducted on June 2 revealed that two pallets of Rude Boy mixed alcoholic beverages were missing from the warehouse.
The stolen products were valued at approximately $36,000.
Company representatives informed police that no authorisation had been given for the items to be removed from the facility.
WPC Brathwaite recorded a statement from the complainant and visited the scene as part of the investigation.
Police have requested that the CCTV footage be extracted and handed over to investigators for further analysis.
