Details: The Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War notes that this is the next, 75th exchange of prisoners. As a result of the negotiation process, 185 Ukrainian servicemen were released from Russian captivity. Separately, it was also possible to return to the Motherland one Ukrainian civilian, who had been held captive by the Russians since 2022.
Servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces returned home, in particular, representatives of the Naval Forces, Ground Forces, DSHV, TrO, SSO, VSP, as well as soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Service.
More than half of the currently released defenders were captured in 2022, some of them during the defense of Mariupol.
Among those released is a participant in a unique helicopter operation – an air bridge to Azovstal.
The youngest released is 26 years old, the oldest is 62 years old. Among the defenders released today are two officers.
