The Chamber of Agriculture considers that the approval of the Comprehensive Law against Money Laundering, Other Assets and Financing of Terrorism strengthens the country’s institutions and contributes to generating greater confidence for investment and economic development.
The Chamber of Agriculture recognizes the approval of Decree 15-2026 and affirms that the regulations represent progress to strengthen legal certainty, competitiveness and transparency in Guatemala. According to the organization, the law also contributes to consolidating a safer environment for economic and commercial activities in the country.
The entity points out that adequate implementation of the legislation will allow preserving international trust, strengthening the financial system and generating better conditions for investment, trade and economic growth. Furthermore, it considers that the regulations constitute an important step to strengthen the institutions and reputation of Guatemala among partners and investors.
