    Tomorrow, the Al Shaqab Show Jumping League final begins at the Longines Indoor Arena

    Tomorrow, Thursday, all eyes will turn to the Longines Indoor Arena in Al Shaqab, with the start of the Al Shaqab Show Jumping League final, which represents the third, final and decisive stop of the season, amid wide participation of male and female riders from different categories and levels, which will be held over 3 consecutive days.

    Tomorrow’s competitions will begin at three o’clock in the afternoon, with the Al Shaqab Champions Race at a height of 140 cm, with prizes amounting to 70,000 Qatari riyals, followed by the Youth Champions Race, at a height of 130 cm, with prizes amounting to 45,000 riyals, in addition to the preliminary category races at heights of 40 and 80 cm.

    As for the competitions the day after tomorrow, Friday, the preliminary category race will be held at 60 cm, followed by the amateur race at a height of 100 cm with prizes amounting to 15 thousand riyals, then the future champions race at a height of 110 cm with prizes of 20 thousand riyals, before the day concludes with the junior champions race at a height of 120 cm with prizes amounting to 35 thousand riyals.

    The excitement will continue on the final day next Saturday with the final rounds, where the riders will compete in the Youth Champions category at a height of 135 cm, with prizes of 45,000 riyals, in addition to the amateur rounds at a height of 105 cm, with prizes of 15,000 riyals, the future champions at a height of 115 cm, with prizes of 20,000 riyals, and the emerging champions at a height of 125 cm, with prizes of 35,000 riyals. 145 cm, with prizes amounting to 70 thousand riyals.

    The league adopts a cumulative points system, which gives the final round special importance in determining the first-place finishers and deciding the season’s titles, in light of the distinguished technical levels witnessed in the previous rounds, and the great competition between the riders aspiring to ascend to the podiums.

    The first preliminary round, at a height of 40 cm, is led by jockey Fahd Abdullah Al-Sulaiti, with 49 points. The second preliminary round, at a height of 60 cm, is led by female jockey Mashael Mohammed Al Thani, with 35.5 points. The third preliminary round, at a height of 80 cm, is led by jockey Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al-Baker, with 50 points. As for the talent round, at a height between 100-105 cm, the female jockey Haifa Hamad Al Thani is in the lead with 52 points. The Future Champions round is at a height of 110-115 cm, by the rider Abdullah Ahmed Al-Khulaifi, and the Junior Champions round is at a height of 120-125 cm, by the jockey Haya Khaled Al-Hitmi, with 51 points, and the Al Shaqab Champions round is at a height of 140-145 cm, by the jockey Muhammad Al-Asaker, with 50 points, while the Young Champions round, with a height of 130-135 cm, is witnessing strong competition, with the lead shared by the two riders, Khaled Al-Hadi. Abdulaziz Fahd Al-Eid has the same score of 57 points, and in the team competitions, the “Ghazal” team comes in the lead with 57 points, the “Afrin” team is second with 52 points, and the “Hariri” team is third with 49.5 points.

    The league continues to consolidate its position as one of the most prominent platforms for developing the sport of show jumping in Qatar, by providing a professional competitive environment that contributes to honing talent and preparing a new generation of champions, in line with Al Shaqab’s vision to support equestrianism and enhance its presence at the local and international levels.
