    14 storms and 9 hurricanes predicted during the 2026 hurricane season


    The Haiti Hydrometeorological Unit (UHM) informs, in an official note, that 14 tropical storms and nine hurricanes, including three major categories 3, 4 or 5 on the Saffir-Simpson scale, are forecast for the 2026 hurricane season.
