    The drink that quenches thirst best in hot weather, even better than water

    High temperatures can be a real challenge for our body. Doctors recommend that you remember to use sunscreen, drink plenty of water and, if possible, stay indoors during the hours when the sun is at its strongest.

    There is one more tip that will help you survive the hot ones days. Doctors recommend drinking more regular milk, reports “DoctorPiter”.

    What’s the point of that?

    As Dr. Natasha Fernando explains, milk combines protein, sugar and fat. These substances help to slow down the rate of liquid removal from the stomach. Therefore, just a glass of milk will help you avoid dehydration even in the hottest weather.

    Milk also contains sodium, which helps the body retain water.

    If you are lactose intolerant or do not eat animal products, you can drink plant-based milk. It can also help you cope with the heat. Watermelon and cucumber are also good choices in hot weather. They also contain a lot of water.

    Signs of dehydration:

    • strong thirst;
    • dry lips and mouth;
    • unexplained fatigue;
    • dizziness;
    • urinating less than four times a day.

    There’s an easy way to tell if you’re drinking enough water. Pay attention to the color of the urine. If it’s dark, you’re not drinking enough.

    More about how to develop the habit of drinking enough regularly without much effort water.

    Hot is better

    In summer, you often crave something cold. However, warm drinks are actually better for dealing with the heat. This is because a cup of tea will make your body sweat, which will help it cool down better. That’s why spicy dishes are so popular in many countries with a hot climate – they work on a similar principle, reports “Metro”.

    For this trick to work, it’s important to dress properly to allow the sweat to evaporate. Choose loose clothing made from natural fabrics and save layering for cooler weather.
