The dish was cooked in a pot specially built for such events, in which hundreds of kilograms of bison meat, vegetables and spices were added, according to TVR Info.
Chefs from Salonta contributed to the performance, supported by volunteers who cleaned the vegetables, supervised the fire and helped serve. Public interest was huge, and organizers say the number of visitors exceeded expectations.
The new record surpasses the performance also set at Salonta two decades ago, when 5,045 liters of goulash were cooked in a single cauldron.
Salonta is located on the edge of the Bihor municipality one of the oldest and largest bison farms in Romania.
The farm was established in the 1990s and has become a local attraction, frequently visited by tourists.
American bison are raised here, and the meat is used both for local consumption and for special gastronomic events.
