According to police, the incident occurred in October last year when a relative and neighbor, Indra Putra Bangun, visited LB’s family home and accused her father, identified only as JIB, of purchasing palm oil allegedly stolen from his plantation. The confrontation escalated into a physical altercation, during which LB allegedly intervened by scratching and biting Indra.

15-year-old student in Langkat regency in North Sumatra is demanding justice after being named a suspect for intervening in an alleged assault on her father, who has also been arrested and charged in the same case.
The student, identified only as LB, said she felt like she had been treated unfairly after being named a suspect alongside her father.
“My father is being held at Tanjung Pura detention center, while I have been granted a suspension from detention as I am still in school,” she said in a video circulating online on Saturday.
In the video, LB also appealed to President Prabowo Subianto, the National Police chief and members of the House of Representatives to secure her father’s release from custody.
“I ask the government and authorities for help and justice, and for my father to be freed,” she added.
Seminar Tarigan, vice principal at SMU 1 Salapian state high school, where LB is a student, said the school fully supported her and is urging her to remain strong as the legal process continues.
