The Municipality of Ai continues to implement a series of service and development projects, within the framework of its strategic plans aimed at improving the level of services provided to citizens and developing the infrastructure, which will reflect positively on the quality of life in the various areas of the district.
The municipality confirmed that its efforts are continuing at an accelerated pace across its various departments, as the bidding department is working on preparing technical studies and preparing the necessary bidding documents to launch a number of vital projects, the most prominent of which is the project to address hotspots in areas affected by weather depressions during the past winter. This project is part of the municipality’s efforts to address the damage and enhance the readiness of the infrastructure to face different weather conditions.
The work also includes launching a tender to establish and maintain the road network in the Ai District, with the aim of raising the efficiency of the roads and improving the level of traffic safety, thus contributing to facilitating the movement of citizens and reducing risks, especially in areas that witness heavy traffic or damage to the infrastructure.
On the service side, the cadres of the Movement Department continue to perform their field role by carrying out daily cleaning work in the various areas of the district, in addition to removing weeds and weeds from the sides of the roads, and irrigating the planted trees, within the framework of preserving the cultural and environmental appearance, and providing a healthy and safe environment for citizens.
In terms of development projects, the municipality revealed remarkable progress in the infrastructure project for Hidd Park, with the completion rate reaching about 95%, with the project almost ready to receive its initial receipt.
She pointed out that the project is expected to move to the second phase, which will include preparing studies and final designs, in preparation for transforming the park into an integrated entertainment destination that meets the needs of the people of the district and its visitors.
The municipality indicated that it is currently studying opportunities to establish partnerships with civil society organizations and the private sector, with the aim of implementing production and service projects that contribute to revitalizing the local economy, providing job opportunities, and enhancing reliance on self-resources.
The Municipality of Ai confirmed that these efforts come within a comprehensive vision that seeks to achieve sustainable and balanced development, stressing the importance of cooperation between the municipality, citizens, and local community institutions, as it is the cornerstone of ensuring the success and sustainability of projects, and achieving the desired development in the district.
