The US Embassy and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Cambodia have extended their best wishes to King Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, for a swift and full recovery.
In a statement yesterday, the US Embassy in Phnom Penh joined the Cambodian people in expressing its hopes for His Majesty’s speedy recovery.
“Our thoughts are with His Majesty, the Royal Family, and the people of Cambodia. We wish all peace, prosperity and good health on the eve of the Khmer New Year,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, the German Embassy in Cambodia also conveyed its sincere wishes for His Majesty’s recovery.
“As Cambodia marks the Khmer New Year, we wish His Majesty strength and good health, and extend our warmest wishes for peace and happiness to all Cambodians,” the embassy said.
According to a royal message issued last Friday, the King will extend his stay in Beijing for an additional one to two months for treatment and recovery, following medical advice from doctors in the Chinese capital after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. AKP
