Dron, who turned 20 last Friday, scored 48 goals in just 46 matches in various official competitions, confirming his status as one of the most decisive and effective strikers in front of goal, after he was one of the few players who participated in the Second Division and Third Division League competitions.

The Ivorian won the third-division league top scorer award with 35 goals, scored eight goals in the second division, and scored three goals in the Federation Cup, contributing to the double promotion of the Fort Virtus team, which came runner-up in the second division and advanced to the first division. He also led the Fort Virtus reserve team to obtain third place in the third division and advance to the second division next season.

    Lapa is in second place

Al Ain striker, Laba Kodjo, came in second place in terms of the number of goals scored in all local competitions last season, after scoring 31 goals in 36 matches, with 25 goals in the Professional League, three goals in the Professional League Cup, and three goals in the President’s Cup, so that the Togolese star continues his strong presence with Al Ain, and confirms his position among the most prominent strikers in Emirati football.

He added: “These numbers would not have been achieved without the great support I received from the club management headed by Youssef Al Marzouqi, the technical staff and my fellow players, so I extend my thanks and appreciation to all of them for the trust they gave me from day one.”

The Ivorian striker continued: “Fort Virtus has become like a family to me, and I believe that this project has a great future, as what we have achieved this season is just a first step, and my ambition is to continue developing, scoring more goals, and contributing to achieving more successes for the club.”

He concluded his speech by saying: “I dream with Fort Virtus of continuing the upward journey and one day reaching the professional league, as we have ambitious management, professional work, and a distinguished group of players, and I believe that the future holds a lot for this club.”
