The case, in which two men have been charged, is described as the largest case involving the illegal manufacture of cigarettes in Denmark.
The factory, located in northwestern Zealand, had 21 beds for employees from Eastern Europe, making it one of the area’s larger workplaces.
But the manufacture of the cigarettes was illegal, according to the Swedish Prosecution Authority, which believes the cigarettes are counterfeit versions of Marlboro and Prince.
During the ongoing trial, the two men have denied any wrongdoing.
